All about Eyelash extension Glue

A high-quality eyelash extension glue makes a great difference when it comes to lash retention. As a result, the first lesson any lash artist should learn is how to look after their glue. Many factors influence the quality of lash extension adhesive, but with the right knowledge, you can prevent them. 

What is lash adhesive/lash glue?

The lash adhesive is used to adhere the extensions to the natural lashes when applying eyelash extensions. Although it appears that any adhesive may be used, the improper type of glue might do major damage to anyone's natural lashes.

Black glue is one of the most common eyelash extension glues used by lash artists; it may add a lot of intensity to the lash line or just disguise the lash connection without having to use eyeliner.

How to apply eyelash extension glue properly?

One of our main concerns as lash artists is how to use eyelash glue properly, including how to shake it and for how long. It's important to understand because we want to get the most out of our eyelash glue.

SHAKE THEM OFF

Before your lash appointment, give your lash adhesive a good shake. If you're going to shake it by hand, make sure you shake it side by side for at least 1 or 2 minutes to ensure the components are thoroughly mixed. With all of the ingredients mixed together, your second drop will be the freshest.

The reason for this is that every time you shake your adhesive, it will rise to the top of the tip. Because thinner viscosity glue is so fragile, if you shake it up and down, the cap will become stuck to it and your adhesive will stop working properly, causing you problems, and as lash artists, we don't want to waste money.

If you're using a glue shaker, shake your eyelash adhesive 1 minute before you start your day; if you're working long hours, you can do it in between. If you switch adhesives, give it another shake.

If you drop your first glue dot, you'll know if you've properly shook it. If it's sloppy, shake it a little longer; it's also an indication that your glue is failing.

EYELASH EXTENSION GLUE SHOULD ALWAYS BE BURPED.

Burp your glue before using it to ensure that it lasts as long as possible (normally 4 weeks). If you don't burp the glue, air will get into it and reduce its effectiveness much more quickly.

LINT-FREE WIPES FOR NOZZLES CLEANING

The easiest way to get the most out of your lash adhesive is to keep the nozzle clean. Lint-free wipes prevent your adhesive nozzle from becoming trapped in the cap as a result of buildup, which can cause the adhesive to degrade. Use adhesive remover and adhesive wipes to remove glue from your tools and tweezers.

GLUE STORAGE

Maintain the freshness of your lash adhesive by carefully storing it. Keep it in an airtight container in a dark, cool location, or use a lash adhesive vault to keep the bottle upright.

If you're using an airtight container, you can fill it with silica gel beads or rice to absorb moisture.

PROPER TIME AND HUMIDITY

Check the humidity, temperature, and drying time to make sure everything is in the right range. If you're a new lash artist, avoid using a fast-drying lash glue (less than half a second drying time) because your hands are still slow and you don't want to be rushed when learning your techniques. Take your time, be patient, practice more, and as your hands become faster and more experienced, you'll be able to find a faster adhesive that completely matches you.

Because the eyelash extension adhesive interacts and dries with humidity, the drying period is more directly linked to humidity than anything else. The humidity level for all lash extension glues should be between 45 and 60 percent.
